Film Style Inspiration- Audrey Horne (Twin Peaks)

Ok, so I know that I cheated with this month's Film Style Inspiration. My only defence is that Twin Peaks was also a film, yes Audrey Horne wasn't in the film, but she should have been!

She's probably one of the best characters in Twin Peaks. One of the reasons I loved Audrey Horne when I watched Twin Peaks was her amazing style. It's a mixture of 50's prep and vixen. She wears cute sweaters, pleated check skirts, saddle shoes, red heels, sexy black dresses and red lipstick. Like every woman, there are several sides to Audrey Horne which she expresses through her style throughout the two seasons of Twin Peaks. I went for the 50s school/college preppy look but with a short curly bob and red lippie to give it the Audrey Horne edge.

We also went to see 30 Minutes or Less which was hilarious! I love Danny McBride in everything! We also saw Drive this week one of the many new Ryan Gosling films out this year, it's seriously amazing and has a great soundtrack.

Starry Night Nails

I absolutely love my new Model's Own nail polish. It's a holographic glitter polish called Juicy Jules. I've worn it alone and over a few different colours so I thought I'd share with you one of my favourite combinations- No 7 Violetta with the glitter polish as a topcoat. I'm actually not a glittery girl at all but the way this catches the light and sparkles I just can't stop looking at it!

Electric Picnic Part Two

Once again the time between posts has been greater than I wanted. I suppose I'll just blame it on the craziness that has been this past month. It's been both good and bad, we have been very busy at work and play and there's stuff that needed sorting out in my head and in life generally. Gosh, I'm being very vague I know I suppose I would love to sit down with each and every one of you and have a conversation about life that isn't for all to see on the internet. That's the downside to this blogging thing, I don't get to see you all in person and explain things how I would if it was one on one. 

I have missed this a lot. I need to get back into it properly and do some Autumn blogging. I have ideas and plans and plenty of posts in my head that I need to get out! While I'm doing that I'll share with you the remainder of the photographs from Electric Picnic. They are mostly of the more creative/arty side to the festival with sculptures, artistic creations etc.
