It was fun going through the blog and seeing how I spent this past year (and seeing how my hair colour has grown out). It's been filled with ups and downs but for the most-part 2012 was a good year for me. I'm already so excited to continue blogging next year and I've been planning January's posts for a while now. I hope you all can look back on the year and feel happy about it. One of the best things about this past year has been getting to know you all a bit better.

Hold on to your loved ones tightly and tell people you love them rather than leaving it until it's too late. Be happy with what you have, instead of constantly wanting what you don't have. Be polite to strangers. Don't let arguments go on too long. Put your phone down and be present. Listen, look and learn. Smile, laugh, cry, love.

I wish you all very Happy New Year.

This Christmas was both a happy one and a sad one for us. Happy because I finally got to spend it with Donnacha and my family (also he got me THE MOST AMAZING present which I will show you soon). Sad because my grandad's health is deteriorating.

We had two Christmases this year as we spent last weekend with Donnacha's family. It was really nice to be able to spend some time with both of our families, however because the week was so hectic Donnacha are paying for it now with illness.

How was your Christmas? What are your traditions? I was a very lucky girl this year and was really spoiled by my family and friends so I just want to say thank you and I love you all very much!

Sequins Mama

It's been a while since I've written a nail post and since it's the party season I thought I'd show you one of my favourite ways to do my nails for Christmas. This is also a great way to update the berry nail trend from Autumn/Winter for the Christmas period.

I loved Essie's Bahama Mama as soon as I tried it. It's such a gorgeous shade, it's my Autumn/Winter version of the classic red nail and I've been wearing it almost non-stop for the past few months. I recently got Revlon Sequins as a free gift after buying three Revlon items in Boots. It's a sparkly gold topcoat with various sizes of glitter. You can add this to any nail colour and it instantly gives you Christmas party nails. I've been wearing these colours together for the past few days and already several people have commented on how nice they are and asked have I had my nails done!

What is your favourite Christmas nail colour?

Vingt Ans

We had already decided we were going to Paris when I found out it was the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris which made our trip there even more special! I had already been to Disneyland Paris twice before, the first time was when I was 9 and then second time was when I was 15. It was a completely different experience this time as I was going as an adult with a different perspective. There's just something about the place, it really brings out the kid in you! Despite the cold, cloudy weather we had an amazing day and I already want to go back again!

We got to go to Walt Disney Studios which wasn't open the last time I was there, I really liked this park as it wasn't as busy and there were lots of things I hadn't seen before and more adult rides (not that I went on many of them!). The best/worst thing about the WDS park is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. I was tricked into thinking it wouldn't be too bad, little did I know I would think I was going to die on it. It's seriously the scariest sensation I've ever experienced! I'm not a huge fan of rollercoasters mostly because I have a very weak stomach so Thunder Mountain is perfect for me and has always been my favourite ride. Temple of Peril and Space Mountain were crazy! Kate and I let the boys go on a few of the worse rollercoasters while we oohed and awed over things we would have loved when we were little and then we dragged the guys on It's a Small World for nostalgia's sake.

After three full days walking around Paris and Disneyland we were deliriously tired and almost feel asleep in our not so yummy Planet Hollywood burgers.

Have you ever been to Disneyland? Would you like to go?

PS. I've had to add the word verification thing to comments as I was getting a lot of spam comments! Sorry I know they're annoying but if you have gotten spam comments then you know how annoying it is! Thanks x
