Seaside Saturday

This past Saturday Donnacha, Kate, Eric, Simon and I visited my family in Skerries. We went to Stoop Your Head (Stoops) for lunch. Their seafood chowder is the best. Afterwards we joined my aunts at Olive for coffee and dessert. These two are some of my favourite places to eat in Dublin county. If you're ever in the area, I can't recommend either highly enough.

The sun shone for the first time in ages on Saturday, long enough for us to be able to sit outside and eat lunch.

I just wanted to say a quick thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post, it really made me so happy to hear from you all.

How was your Easter weekend?

  1. Along with fantastic pictures of yourself taken by Donnacha, I am always impressed by the "beauty shots" of the foods you enjoy in your travels. They make me claw at the screen and wish I could have a taste. Stoops and the Olive deli look like wonderful dining spots and I'm delighted to know the weather allowed you to have lunch outside. It's one of my favorite experiences. In Central and West Coast Florida there are many restaurants and cafes that offer sidewalk dining. They are quite popular when the weather cooperates which, in Florida, usually means winter time when it's not too hot and humid. I'm thrilled to see you and your friends out and about and enjoying life again, dear friend Emma!
