Film Style Inspiration- Max Fischer (Rushmore)

I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan and I love all of his films, The Royal Tenenbaums being my favourite. I dressed up as Margot Tenenbaum for Halloween a few years ago as you can see here. I just love how all of his characters have such individual style. The yellow jumpsuits in Bottle Rocket, the red tracksuits worn by Chas and his sons in The Royal Tenenbaums, Richie's tennis outfit and Eli Cash's cowboy hat and fringed shirt, the blue uniforms and red hats worn in The Life Aquatic and the suits worn by the three brothers in The Darjeeling Limited. Each character is identifiable by their respective "uniform". The clothing that each character wears is such an inherent part of the world Wes creates in each of his films and is part of why I love his style of filmmaking so much.

The reason I chose Max Fischer in particular is that when you say his name, anyone who has seen the film will immediately picture Jason Schwartzman in his red beret, blazer and glasses. He has such a specific uniform that I wanted to play with it and see how I could incorporate it into an outfit that didn't look like a costume of the character. I hope I succeeded!

We went to the Iveagh Gardens to take the photos and I'm so happy we did because it was the perfect location with such beautiful light. I love how these photos turned out and I hope you like them too! Now to start thinking about next month's post!

Oh and I'm wearing my new loafers from Next here. I love them!

I also fell in love with the rock archway, I suppose that is what it is called. It was like something out of a fairytale.
