On a more sombre note, we had an incident in our family yesterday and it really shook us all up. I can't really go into details because I don't think it would be fair for my family and it's not really my place to say anything but I just want to take this opportunity to ask for your thoughts and prayers (if that's your thing) especially for my mother who has been badly affected by this incident and needs some love sent her way. I'm sorry to be so cryptic, but I'm sure you understand that there are just some things you can't go into detail about on such a public forum.

I hope you're all having a better week than me! My week has flown by and we've been so busy in work. We also got paid a day early so I treated myself to a couple of online purchases which I'm sure I will share with you at some stage!

It's almost the weekend,

Have a good one!

  1. Yes, of course your mother and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, Emma. I don't need to know any details. Life is filled with ups and downs and if it helps any of your loved ones to know that Shady cares then I am very happy to be of service. On a cheerier subject I love that calendar ornament of yours and your new shade of lipstick is indeed very exciting! Good night to you in Dublin, dear friend!

  3. I don't really do prayers but my best thoughts are with your family, Emma. I know just what you mean - I have some family stuff going on that I don't want to share on my blog, but also don't really want to hide. I think it's good to put it out there that you've got stuff going on, though - support comes from all sorts of places x

  6. I've been eyeing some Revlon shades lately and I am completely sold with your colour! I probably might get it now :)

You have some very nice things in your room, I especially love the calender from Germany, it's so sweet and different.

Also, sending my love for your mother, hope what is affecting your family passes soon!
