A Personalised Giveaway

thank you

Well that was fast! I didn't expect to reach 99 followers so soon but now that I have I'm excited to share with you a special giveaway as a thank you to my readers for their constant support and friendship.

I'm not doing this in any way to gain more followers, to be honest I'm quite happy with the relationships I've formed with the small number of loyal readers who are so generous with their kind and thoughtful comments. I look forward to interacting with you and it's what makes this a great hobby to have.

I greatly and sincerely appreciate my friendships with you guys and the idea of this giveaway is to get to know you a bit better and to say a huge thank you for sticking with me!

The prize, if you want to call it that, will be a personalised package of things that are specific to the winner. I will email the winner upon their name being chosen out of a hat and ask several questions (I'll need a bit more detail for more recent readers who I maybe don't know as well) and I will be sending you a little thank you present based on the answers you give me.

To enter all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me something about yourself that I probably don't already know, it can be anything you want! AND please leave me a way of contacting you if you don't have a blog on your profile page.

It's open to international readers and I'll close the entries in a week's time on the 26th. I will notify the winner via their blog/email and announce it here next Friday the 27th. I'll also let you all know what the present is once I know the winner has received it for anyone who might be curious ( I know I would be).

So that's it. I wish I could get you all a thank you present but unfortunately my bank balance doesn't  agree. This is my way of showing you all my appreciation.

Hope you have a great Thursday,

Emma x

  1. Congratulations on reaching 99 followers, Emma. I'm sure you'll hit 100 at any moment and surpass my follower total in no time.

This is such a sweet gesture on your part. Having won your friendship in recent months is a blessing enough, but I will support your giveaway by telling you something that you might not know about me.

I am left handed. My first grade teacher tried to break me of it and teach me to use my right hand. It didn't work and she gave up trying to convert me. Four years later, in 5th grade, my left handed writing style allowed me to win a penmanship contest defeating dozens of right handed students.

Thank you, dear Emma, for the opportunity to be considered for your giveaway and especially for the chance to be your friend!

  3. That is so cool!!! nice one!!!! and thank you for organizing such a cool contest!
One thing about myself you might not know is that I have a secret, mad, unsound, deep obsession with my dear friend "Penneys"... When I used to live in Dublin, I would go there 3 times a week, and never walk out empty-handed!!! It's just the kind of shop that drives me mental and up to this day, I can definitely say that no other shop compares to Penneys!!!!!! Coming for Paddy's Day with the boyfriend of course, but also my Sis and I believe we are going to spend AT LEAST 4-5 hours in there (boyfriend at the pub) .... Can't wait!!!

  4. I created an account just to be your 100th follower. Just wanted to let you know I've been following your blog for a while since I discovered it when I was looking for pictures of trains in snow and I found the picture you took of the Luas tram in the snow (I used it as a desktop picture). Then I looked at your other posts and it seemed we had similar interests in film/tv/music, so I kept reading. Plus, I have green eyes too! :)

  6. Congratulations Emma, you so deserve it. I hope that many more people find you and your lovely blog. I hope to one day meet you in person too, the beautiful thing about blogging is the friendships you form. :)

One thing you might not know about me is that I am a huge fan of fast punk and metal music. I have a very varied taste in music but this fact always suprises people and at work it's abit of a running joke that I was once an 'emo', and they have made me a play list dedicated to all my guilty pleasures. When I was growing up I was the biggest Ska punk fan too. I went to see Capdown recentley so it is defintely a love that isn't going away any time soon. So there you go. xx

  7. What a lovely idea. Like others who have commented, I'm surprised you don't have more followers. There are obviously lots of things you don't know about me but it's a struggle to pick something interesting! Hmm, I have green eyes and red hair, I'm obsessed with Berlin (the country not the dodgy 80's band) and it's history. I love the German language and my favourite band when I was a teenager was the Sisters of Mercy, even though they were a little before my time! xx

  8. This is such a sweet idea, Emma. And I hope you know I love your blog!

One thing you might not know about me is that I love singing along to my favourite TV theme tunes, and making up lyrics if they don't already have lyrics. Eg The X Files goes

    Mulder wants to believe
    But Scully is a sceptic
    They work for the FBI
    Their boss is called Skinner
One time he killed a whore
He is a bad ass guy

etc... they change from watch to watch, usually.

  12. Congratulations on your followers! I too am not obsessed with the number of followers, but would rather build a true relationship with a smaller number of fans. Your blog is so cute and I am so jealous of your green eyes!! Mine were green when I was young, but turned dark brown. I am your newest follower and am so excited to see what you have to post up next!
My fun fact is that I used to wish I was a boy! I was a major tomboy in elementary-high school, but now seem MUCH more in touch with my feminine side! I still play paintball & other sports, but I like to look good while participating. :) Congratulations again and see you around!!

    xoxo,

  13. Hello Emma! You have a fantastic blog and congratulations on having 100 followers! I am an animal lover but don't blog about some of my old pets because it makes me so sad.

This might sound quite strange but I am fond of camels and so is my daughter. I rode a camel a few years ago and don't know when I have laughed so much! Domesticated camels can be rather affectionate with humans and Tye (the camel) turned his head for a kiss when the woman before me climbed off of him. When I was through with the ride, he turned and batted those long lashes at me and I could not help it, I have him a hug and kiss.

    BTW, this camel has manners and class, he is not a spitter. {;~}
