I was a very lucky girl this Christmas and got some gorgeous beauty bits from my family that were on my wishlist. I got the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms gift set, Benefit's Cheeky Sweet Spot Blush Box and Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette. I've been using all three sets almost every day since Christmas and absolutely love them.
I also used the new No7 Instant Radiance Under Eye Concealer which is part of No7's Match Made service. I love this for brightening under my eyes, it's so light and easy to blend. Unfortunately I have major dark circles so I usually have to use a corrector first like the Bobby Brown one and then a concealer on top.
I had never tried a Benefit blush before I got this blush box, for shame! Which was the main reason I wanted it this Christmas. It comes with quite substantial sizes of five Benefit blushes and Hoola bronzer as well as a mini Watts Up highlighter. For this look I used Dandelion which is a gorgeous pale pink similar to MAC Well Dressed, I've been getting so much use out of this set, I can't believe I had never tried a Benefit Blush until now. I used this Kiko blush I got in France as a highlighter, it's quite sparkly, but used with a light hand, it looks very pretty on.

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Blush Set
To finish the look I applied one of the mini Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks in Penelope Pink. This is a beautiful lipstick, all three shades in the set are gorgeous. The other two are Bitch Perfect and So Marilyn. It was great to be able to try out three shades without paying €30 for each of them. Although I love them all so much I would definitely buy the full sizes. Penelope Pink is a pink toned nude that looks and feels beautiful on, it also lasts incredibly well. I can't rate these lipsticks highly enough, definitely worth the hype. If you're looking for a similar colour at a lower price point, this shade is quite similar to Revlon Pink in the Afternoon.
A little bit of Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder on my t-zone and I was good to go.
What do you think of the look? What products have you been loving so far this year?
I got some exciting news at the beginning of January that No7 were going to be using a new photo from the campaign to advertise the Match Made Concealer Service. It's currently being featuring instore and in magazines and supplements across Ireland and the UK such as Grazia and U Magazine. It's an honour to be featured again and to continue working with a brand I love so much.
Emma x
PS. This post is not sponsored by No7, I've just been using and loving loads of their stuff recently!
You look gorgeous! The mini lipstick set is too darling *_*
ReplyDeleteThank you Kailey! I love them so much, gorgeous inside and out!
DeleteI've been largely using the same make-up products since my teens - you would shake your head in disgust at my boring make-up regime :) I have been trying to shake things up a little recently though and I bought the Benefit Brows a Go Go set which I really like. Other than that I'm a Bare Minerals devotee when it comes to foundation. You're definitely inspiring me to try new products though and branch out - I've just always been so bewildered at the range before this. I love the eye shadow shades in the Urban Decay set. I love your No 7 ad too - not surprised they want to re-use it! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for it next time I buy a fashion magazine :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Bare Minerals foundations, even though I've heard they great, I was really intrigued by their latest liquid mineral foundation. It's great trying new things, but I do have my favourites that I constantly repurchase, sometimes the tried and tested products are the best!
DeleteI've not tried heated eyelash curlers but they do fascinate me - I'm sure the results would speak for themselves, but I'm frequently too lazy to curl my lashes with an ordinary eyelash curler so I'm not sure whether I'd take the extra time/effort to go for the heated option :p All the new makeup looks glorious! That Benefit blush set especially - what a fantastic idea. I find their mini sizes are fairly generous (3g I believe) and would take a long time to be completely used up. Their full size boxes (8g I think) are way too huge anyway. The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is beautiful and perfect for everyday wear :)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely does take longer with the heated curler so it's something I only do on the weekends really. Yes I can see myself getting so much use from the blushes, it is literally like a sweet shop, I don't know where to start there are so many options!
DeleteI came across your blog through your Mary-Lou Manizer review, and I just had to say... you're gorg! And I love the way you dress! I was just staring at your outfit posts all fascinated, haha.
