See what I did up there? Roman numerals! ...... anyway...... Ok so I know I said I'd post these ages ago and I'm sure you were all at the edge of your seat waiting for them (oh self-deprecation!) but I just got done editing them a few days ago so here they are in all their glory! I was going to go with the post title Roman Holiday but instead I went with the name of my favourite Mancunian 80s band (apart from the Smiths obvs). I apologise for the photo heavy nature of this post but if you manage to make it through to the end you're sure to see some real photographic gems! Don't forget to read my running commentary beneath the photos.
We got these earphones on our tour bus that are supposed to tell you all about the areas on the bus route but they were absolutely useless so we binned them and just enjoyed the view!
Me, my friend Lisa, my mam and my cousin Joanna
Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II
A cool old bank that I liked
We brought along Doctor Who Tom Baker. The cheeky git finished off the last of the Chianti!
I was instructed by Simon to take a photo of this hilarious Santa ornament
and these animals as people ornaments
Fontana di Trevi
Pantheon
The very dizzying ceiling of the Pantheon
Our album cover (if we had a band)
I loved all of the side streets
We drove past the Colosseum at night and there was hundreds of people walking past on a protest (I assume it was government related)
Fun times down the back of the bus!
So there you have it! A bunch of weirdos running/bussing around Rome. There was about 25 of us at first but little groups formed and everyone kinda did their own thing. That being said I think our group had about 10 of us!
Part II later in the week!
