Saturday Things

Here's what I did yesterday.

I had a strawberry smoothie

I wore green nail polish

I ate an everything bagel with avocado, mozzarella and bacon

I thought this was pretty cool

I watched 500 Days of Summer again and didn't like it as much this time :(

So that was my Saturday. What did you do? Today I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides with my mam and my brother. It was good, but nowhere near as good as the first one.

This is what I wore to work today.

Okay so I had links to everything I'm wearing but for some reason blogger didn't autosave my post before I published it and then when I viewed the post there was just the title there :( so if you want info on anything just mail me and I'd be happy to give you any info you need! The close up of the lips is to show you more clearly the new Rimmel Heartbreaker lipstick I bought last week. The scarf is the only new thing, I think you've seen everything else already. This oufit is a remix of two pieces I've worn in my last two outfit posts.


I went to see the new Harry Potter film today with some friends. I loved it! The films just seem to get better with each one. I'm really looking forward to the final one now! I also found a faux fur snood in Penneys for just €6! I've been looking for one for a while now and any I liked were too expensive for my budget. I bought a faux fur hat in the same colour as the snood too for only €4. It reminds me of the one Jen from Jen Loves Kev is wearing in this post and also this one;

I'm off work for a week now! I'm so looking forward to the time off, I'm planning on spending it wisely including some adventures, Christmas shopping and much needed R 'n' R!

She Could Have Been A Poet Or She Could Have Been A Fool

It rained heavily today so I stayed in my pjs and took some photos indoors. Here are the results;

I'm very glad I decided to stay in my pyjamas today because it didn't stop raining all day. I read blogs and listened to music most of the day and this evening we ordered pizza and watched Arrested Development so I was very very happy. Last night we had plans which fell through so we went to the movies to see The Other Guys with some friends (and snuck in some drinks, hehe!). Tomorrow we're going to Whelans to see Simon play with his band You Kiss By The Book and then we're having drinks for Donnacha's birthday.

On Monday I went to a surprise dinner in Drogheda for Jennifer, one of my best friends. We had all you can eat chinese food and it was yummy! I had duck pancakes, BBQ ribs, prawn sesame toast and cantonese duck.

I wanted to share some photographs for The Loved One a project started by one of my favourite bloggers Hannah Metz and Elvia Lahman. They are currently trying to raise funding to start their own vintage inspired lingerie line.

Aren't the photos great? I'm sure a lot of you have hears of Hannah already but if not be sure to check out her blog, it's very cute!

So For Once In My Life Let Me Get What I Want

I'm rather looking forward to this week. Monday is almost over, tomorrow I am off work an hour early because I did an extra hour two weeks ago. Then I am going to buy some accessories to go with the new uniform I have picked out in work. Afterwards I'm going to IKEA hopefully to buy myself a nice plant for the apartment and some Daim cake (yum). On Wednesday I'm going to meet my friend and then I get paid on Friday. I like busy weeks! I also have some birthday present shopping to do, which I love!

Today Donnacha and I met Simon and Shona for coffee and muffins at the Bakery in Temple Bar (I'm sure I've mentioned this place a few times), they make a variety of baked goods including brownies, pies, cupcakes, flapjacks and sandwiches all fresh in their kitchen every day. It's the best place for baked goods in Dublin in my opinion and very reasonably priced compared to some other places. Donnacha and I shared a custard chocolate chip muffin, Simon and Shona shared a chocolate fudge brownie. Delicious!

I made my hair up all 40s style today. I think it looked nice, I'll get a better photo of it next time

I've been messing about with photo editing software a lot lately and these photos are the results. I told my boyfriend I would make him a DVD cover for his last feature film so I'm thinking of doing something with photoshop. I'll keep you posted on the results. I just wanted to ease myself into it and then get onto the more complicated stuff. I'm looking forward to learning all about it!

I was reminded of how much I love this song while watching Never Been Kissed the other day. Not that I need reminding of how much I love The Smiths. It's been covered by Muse and Zooey Deschanel to name a couple but there's nothing like the original. There is a great version at the end of This Is England, the Shane Meadows film which if you haven't seen I can't recommend it highly enough, an absolutely amazing, funny, disturbing and heartbreaking film. So here you go;
