Bodyography Glitter Pigments- Ambient Lux Collection

If you've read my blog for a while you may know that I'm a big fan of the brand Bodyography, in particular their Glitter Pigments. They're probably my most used eye product over the past couple of years. I would say I use them more than any palette I own. I've listed all the blog posts I've featured them in (Ten in total) at the end of this post if want to see more of the shades in action. For now though, let's talk about the new Ambient Lux Collection. It consists of four brand new shades, Spirit Quartz, Blue Morpho, Aura Glow and Solar Flare. As difficult as it was I didn't pick up all four shades. I decided to leave Solar Flare (for now) as it seemed like I could make something similar by mixing Stellar and Eclipse. Instead I bought the three former shades as I didn't have anything like them in my Glitter Pigments collection. I absolutely love these new shades, they did not disappoint. I used all three in the look below and I already can't wait to wear them again. They are officially on sale from the Bodyography website on Friday November 27th, however they are available now on Guru Makeup Emporium

I've been wanting to try more products from Danessa Myricks Beauty so I bought the Dew Wet Balm and Beauty Oil Mini Kit, Vision Flush in Bread-N-Butter from an Irish retailer Makeup By Claire and she was kind enough to throw in a sample size of the Vision Cream Cover Foundation in the shade No. 3 which was sadly too dark for me but I had ordered a sample size of shade No. 2 with my Guru Makeup Emporium order and that was the perfect shade match for me. It's €5.99 for a 2.5ml sample which I think is such a great idea especially at the moment when people can't get out to the shops but don't want to waste money on a foundation shade that doesn't work for them. I have been testing out the products over he past couple of weeks and they're really amazing to use. I've only tried the Vision Cream Cover a couple of times so I definitely need to test that out some more but the Beauty Oil, Vision Flush and Dew Wet Balm are all beautiful products that look amazing on my skin. I have a couple more of her products from Guru Makeup Emporium so I'll be trying those out soon too.

I decided to start sharing the tools that I use to create my makeup looks because they are such an important part how I apply my makeup. I was recently sent some bareMinerals brushes in PR (which I have been loving) and some Rebeluna Cosmetics Brushes as a gift from the lovely Gracey O'Connell  (who if for some reason you're not following her) is an Irish makeup artist and content creator. She is also a Brand Ambassador for Rebeluna Cosmetics. We were chatting about the brushes and when I told her I hadn't tried them yet she very kindly insisted on sending me some to try. I've since ordered some more myself (after pestering Gracey to tell me her favourites) as I loved the ones she sent so much. The R02 Foundation brush is amazing at quickly buffing on foundation, I've been absolutely loving using it. I also love the sponge and having only recently tried Beauty Blender, I can safely say that I prefer the Rebeluna sponge. Even better Rebeluna is actually an Irish brand and I am trying to support Irish brands whenever I can. I had heard a few people I follow and trust mention how much they love the brushes and I can totally see why now.

I'd love to know if you've tried any Bodyography products or any of the other products I mentioned here. You can see the other looks I've done using Bodyography Glitter Pigments here:

PÜR Cosmetics X Raw Beauty Kristi Palette

When I saw that Kristi of the Raw Beauty Kristi YouTube Channel was collaborating on a palette with PÜR Cosmetics I knew I wanted to support her by buying it. I've been watching her channel for a couple of years now and I always look forward to her videos. Her makeup style is a bit different from mine in that she tends to go for more glamorous looks often wearing false lashes but I love them anyway. I find her to be such a breath of fresh air in the YouTube community. I figured that I have gotten hours and hours of free entertainment by watching her videos that she puts so much effort into so the least I could do was support this collaboration.

When I watched her video revealing the palette I was completely sold. I love the packaging and the shade names and how personal everything is. You can tell that this meant so much to her and she wanted to put her all into creating it. I loved the idea of the double-sided palette with one side of more pared-back neutrals and the other vivid, rainbow brights. There are 18 shades altogether with 16 matte pressed pigments and two pressed glitters. As you can see below from the swatches with no primer the pigmentation is amazing. They are a dream to work, they blend with ease and considering they are pressed pigments there is very little to no fall down. A little goes a long way, you just have to touch your brush on the pan to get enough pigment for your lids.

This is a limited edition palette, but a final restock went on sale today so if you're quick you may still be able to get your hands on it. I don't want to write too much as I have photos of four looks below and I hope they speak for themselves. But even if you don't have this palette, there are four very different looks which will hopefully provide you with inspiration. I had so much fun playing with this palette and I'm looking forward to continuing to use it.

*Good Molecules Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer

*Glossier Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid

PÜR Cosmetics 4-in-1 Love Your Selfie Foundation (LN2)

*bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer (Fair)

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer (Baked)

When I bought the palette I also decided to get the 4-in-1 Love Your Selfie Foundation as Kristi always raves about it. As you can see from the before and after images above it's full coverage and quite a perfecting foundation as the name suggests. What I love about it is that it has a pump but also a doe foot applicator so that you can use it as both foundation and concealer which is what I did in the first set of images and it worked so well. I think you definitely need to make sure your skin is exfoliated and well hydrated before applying this but once you have prepped your skin well, it looks beautiful on the skin and is ideal for days when you want more coverage and a more perfected look.

What do you think of these looks? Did you get the palette or do you have anything similar?

Sam and Nic Chapman MAC Makers Lipsticks

Last week I bought the Sam and Nic Chapman MAC Makers Lipsticks. I watched their YouTube videos for years and I've been using their Real Techniques brushes for as long as they've been around. When I saw the two lipstick shades I knew I wanted to buy them. They're two shades that I constantly wear and I like that the red is an Amplified formula and the nude is a Cremesheen as I'm not a huge fan of the MAC matte formula. I also loved watching their YouTube video about the launch. They said the lipsticks were inspired by two of my favourite French films, Le Mépris (Contempt) starring Brigitte Bardot and À Bout de Souffle (Breathless) which stars Jean Seberg. The shades definitely have a retro feel to them when I wear them. If you're a fan of the Pixiwoo YouTube channel you'll probably be interested in these lipsticks. Other than that they are just two gorgeous shades and I know I'll get lots of wear out of both of them.
