Donnacha and I discovered this abandoned building when we went for a walk on Saturday in his home town. It's part of a mostly derelict mini industrial estate and we both thought it would make a great place to take some photographs.
The post title comes from one of my favourite Radiohead songs Reckoner which is used in the amazing film Choke. I am obsessed with this song.
Two posts in two days? Don't get too used to it!

we must do! I love the shins!
DeleteYou and Donnacha did a fine job of snapping pictures at this unique location, Emma, and the thin cloud layer overhead helped by providing diffuse lighting for the shoot. You look like a beautiful ghost in some of the imaginative compositions. I was not familiar with the movie Choke but I went to IMDB and read about it and it seems like my kind of picture. I also enjoyed this video of Radiohead's Reckoner. Thank you, dear friend Emma!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom, I definitely recommend a viewing of Choke, perhaps not the most savoury subject matter but really great performances from Sam Rockwell and Angelica Huston!
DeleteOh Emma I've always loved your outfit posts and this is no exception. The dress is beautiful. You are so lucky to get discount at Monsoon! I like the way you combine outfits and music too. This is a great Radiohead track. I agree that there is something fascinating and almost mysterious about derelict buildings. Great location xxx
ReplyDeleteAw thanks Lucy!Yeah I'm definitely lucky, even though our discount percentage has been reduced :( Yeah derelict buildings are so fascinating!
DeleteSuch a lady! I like everything in your pics, your hair is beautiful, that dress, that necklace.. So pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara! :)

Deletelove that dress and necklace, such a cute outfit xx
ReplyDeleteThank you!x
Deletewhat a great spot for pics! I love abandoned buildings like that. They make for a fantastic backdrop and they are usually void of onlookers. This Radiohead tune is a fave of mine as well but Exit Music will always be number one.
ReplyDeletemmm Radiohead! Yeah that was one of my favourite things about this location, absolutely no one around! I felt a lot more at ease!
DeleteIt sounds like you and Donnacha have so much fun together, Emma! These photos are so lovely. I particularly like the one of your reflection, and the one taken from slightly above. I also love everything about your outfit - it has that slightly grungey 90s vibe that I'm so hooked on xo
ReplyDeleteYou have wonderful curls in your hair, Emma, and your locket is gorgeous. I 'd like to know what's inside.
ReplyDeleteyou look classically beautiful with your florals and that great necklace!

Wow Emma those waves in your hair are perfection. I love this building, it's so nice when you find a quiet spot to take pics.
ReplyDeleteIt's looks like Donnacha was making you chuckle in a few of these, it's lovely, you are so naturally beautiful especially when you smile.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my Shell grotto post, it really meant a lot to me. I'm not surprised that we are similar in that way at all, it's nice to know your not the only one isn't it. :-)
Hope you have a lovely week xxx
