I had hoped to to a more thorough Birthday in photos post with photos of me doing my hair and make up etc. but top be honest I just got caught up in the excitement of the day and forgot for the most part! He's what I managed to remember to take photos of- delicious breakfast made by Donnacha, flowers from my friend, pear, almond and chocolate tart in Queen of Tarts, presents and cards and dinner in Cortina's.
So that was my birthday. I also had a cocktail party the weekend before and I am never letting Donnacha make me a Long Island Iced Tea again! I was off work last week too which was an extra treat, I badly needed a break from the Summer sale madness. For some reason I seem to take a break from blogging when I'm off work, I'm happy to be back at it (not so much work though)!
How are you all?
Emma x
Once again I'm here to wish you a happy birthday, dear Emma! The food looks scrummy and I can almost smell the fragrant scent of Mandarin Cranberry. Through you I have also developed an appreciation of packaging and I admire these gifts you received. I see in these pictures an abundance of evidence that you are loved and appreciated by your family and friends. I am proud to be one of them. I'm glad you had a chance to take off work and take a break from blogging. Everybody needs to recharge their batteries now and again. Have a pleasant night there in Dublin town, dear friend Emma!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom! Yes, the mandarin cranberry candle is an amazing scent! Who doesn't love a nice fruity scent! My batteries are definitely charged, although I do have more holidays next month! :)

DeleteHi Emma! I am happy to see and hear you had a wonderful birthday! I always LOVE your food photos and these were excellent as always. I love candles and Yankee Candles are favorite ones of mine, too. I need to check out the Madarin Cranberry scent. For my birthday I bought myself a small Tyler Candle in the scent of "High Maintenance". I just know you would love their scents, too, but I am not sure they are sold in Ireland. I loved the packaging on your gifts and the way they were photographed. Take care, Emma!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Cindy
Thank you Cindy! I must check out Tyler Candles, I'm a bit candle mad, I have one burning in my sitting room every evening! This mandarin cranberry one smells incredible. I love fruit scented candles, they always seem to be the ones I go for!x

ReplyDeleteP.S In answer to your questions, yes I would absolutely love to get into sets for film/TV. I was thinking that set dressing/ prop styling for period projects would be amazing. I'm going to try and get some work experience at some point so I can give it a go.
I certainly was spoiled! Everyone really made me feel very loved! The food was yummy! Yes, I think you may be right about the stars!
DeleteI hope you get the chance to so some work experience at set dressing, I know you'd be perfect for it!
