Blooming Bow

I received a lovely package in the mail on Friday which was a great start to my week off. I ordered another of Alexandra Grecco's gorgeous creations. This is the Samantha Garden Bow in Medium.

I'm thinking about wearing this for Kate's wedding at the back of my hair like in the fourth photograph. It matches the shoes I got for the wedding perfectly. Who knows, I may change my mind before then, but we booked our flights during the week so it makes it more real! I'm so excited! Kate has her dress picked out and is having it custom made by a seller she found on etsy. It's so gorgeous, but she'll look beautiful no matter what she wears!

The weather is still horrible and the Queen was here all week so between the two we didn't get to take photos because everywhere was closed off. Hopefully it will be nice during my week off.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far, more from me tomorrow after I go and see Pirates of the Caribbean !

Warpaint Take Two

Hey lovelies! I just want to begin this post by thanking you all so much for your kind and encouraging comments from last weeks post. Your words gave me a lot of comfort during my difficult week and thankfully things are much better this week. I am still uneasy about the robbery though, it seems as if whoever broke in had gotten into the building before and knocked on the doors to see if anyone was in, but just happened to get lucky this time. Our building is a lot safer now though so that helps.

The weather in Ireland this past two weeks or so has been nasty. It's been raining, thunderstorms, cold, so so so windy and cloudy so my planned outfit posts will be postponed until I see a bit of sun again. Until then I have some photos to show you from the Warpaint gig we went to on Sunday night. Donnacha took some videos too which you can see below. The gig was amazing! They played a much larger venue than when I saw them in October but it was great to hear the album now that I know it really well and love it and it's great to see an all female band who are so talented at playing their instruments and have such an individual sound.

The support was by Connan Mockasin who I really enjoyed, that's them below.

For Your Love

I've written about The Loved One before, here. After reading about and watching the progress of Hannah and Elvia's Lingerie line, I just had to support them by purchasing one of their beautiful pieces. Each of the pieces are so beautiful I couldn't decide which one to go for, I eventually decided on Sin in the Suburbs . The package arrived during the week and I couldn't wait to photograph it and show you a sneak peek.

Aren't the business cards so classy? I love the part on the back where you can fill in your size details (and favourite flower) just in case your loved one wants to get you something special!
So that was just a small idea of what the lingerie looks like, I'll leave it up to the lovely Hannah to do the modelling below!

Finally, here are some photos from the new lookbook. The lovely models are Caroline Wilson, Kennedy Holmes, Chelsea Marks and Hannah Metz.

So what do you think? I'm so happy with my purchase! The underwear is of such high quality and is perfect for the woman looking for pretty vintage inspired lingerie and is also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend taking a look at the website and if you can, go ahead and treat yourself (or have your loved one treat you) to something really special!

Finally, the most recent video made for The Loved One (featuring the song For Your Love by The Yardbirds).

Tell Me Something I Don't Know

As promised yesterday I'm sharing with you my nail polish collection. I started this collection last Summer when I started experimenting with brighter nail colours. Most of them were fairly inexpensive because I tend to get bored with my nail colour after a couple of days which is when they start to chip anyway. The Essie one I got on ebay, the OPI one is from the Beauty show in the RDS that I went to with my mam a couple of months ago, all of the others are from Boots or the Catrice stand in Dunnes and the Nails Inc. one was free in a magazine. I didn't realise until I looked at them all yesterday how varied the colours in my collection are. My favourites are Lucky in Lilac, Demure Vixen, Emerald City, Iron Mermaiden and Clay-ton My Hero. What's your favourite nail colour for Summer?

NP1

Catrice- Lucky in Lilac; Essie- Demure Vixen; Nails Inc.- Warwick Avenue; Natural Collections- Antique Coral; Rimmel- Orange Bliss; No. 7- 50s Bobby Socks

NP2

Catrice- The Devil Wears Red; No. 7- Betty Blues; No. 7- Violetta; Catrice- Iron Mermaiden; Revlon- Emerald City; Rimmel- Sky High

NP3

OPI- Golden Rules; Catrice- Be My Millionaire; Catrice- Clay-ton My Hero; Catrice- Sand Francisco; Max Factor- Bronze; Max Factor- Ivory

NP4

Golden Rules, Bronze, Iron Mermaiden, Be My Millionaire, 50s Bobby Socks, Sand Francisco, Lucky in Lilac

NP5

I got these Barry M Nail Paints yesterday in Berry, Lemon and Blueberry. It was 3 for 2 and they were very inexpensive so I got some colours I didn't have!

I got a package in the post today that I had forgot I ordered. I think I'll wait until the Autumn to wear it (it's a brooch by the way, I just realised you can't see what it is from the front), I got it super cheap on Etsy with some money I had left over on my disposable credit card. I loved the little green oval on it.

NB

Have you got any exciting plans for the weekend? As usual I'm looking forward to sleeping in, going to see a movie tomorrow and going out tomorrow night.

Donnacha showed me this video during the week and I almost died from the cuteness, I wanted to share it with you to give you a smile to start your weekend (as if you weren't already!)

Summer Jewels

Here are some bits and pieces I got in Accessorize recently. I know it seems like a lot and it probably is, but bear in mind I get 75% staff discount so it works out very inexpensive! I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go in there to get my accessories for my uniform, I seriously love jewellery, especially earrings! What do you think of my haul?

I've been loving big rings recently and all of these are so big, they can get in the way sometimes in work but I love all the different colours and shapes so I guess that's the sacrifice you make :)

I like to get a bit more adventurous with the colours I wear in the Summer and as you can see here yellow, turquoise, pink, and coral are my new favourites for the Summer especially on my nails and my accessories. What are your favourite Summery colours?

My nail polish here is Rimmel's Lycra Pro Orange Bliss. I'll be showing you more of my favourite nail polishes tomorrow!

We're Off To See The Wizard

I'm so excited to show you some of my recent purchases. I bought a ring and a necklace from True Birds Vintage Ispired Jewellery (Zara Taylor). I've worn her My Dear Watson necklace here and here. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned my love of The Wizard of Oz and Return to Oz here before so when I saw these items I just had to have them!

If any of you have seen Return to Oz, you might remember the key Dorothy finds in the yard and uses later in the film when running from the scary Wheelers! This is an exact replica of that key and is something I've always wanted! The ring reminds me of the ornaments in the Nome King's palace, plus I love anything emerald green. What do you think? Do you like them as much as me?

If I had more patience I would have waited to show you these in an outfit post but I'm one of the most impatient people I know (one of my many flaws) so I just had to take some quick photos and show you today.

More recent purchases tomorrow and an outfit post at the weekend!
